A range of processing options from Manual to Fully Automatic.
What is Wet Blasting?
Think dry blasting, or sand blasting, only better. Exponentially so.
“Wet Blasting” is an industrial process in which pressurized wet slurry is applied to a surface for various cleaning or finishing effects.
Also known as wet abrasive blasting, vapor blasting, vapor honing, dustless blasting, or slurry blasting.
A specially designed, high volume pump mixes abrasive media with water. This slurry mixture is then sent to a nozzle (or nozzles) where regulated compressed air is used to adjust the pressure of the slurry as it blasts the surface. The liquid abrasive effect can be precision engineered to produce desired surface profiles and textures. A significant factor in our reputation is our ability to run the highest concentrations of certain medias in the industry. Our slurry delivery system provides the most even finishes with faster process times, and lower media consumption rates.
What is Wet Blasting Used For?
Industrial applications include extensive cleaning, degreasing, deburring and descaling, as well as removal of paint, chemicals and oxidation. Wet blasting is perfect for high-precision composite etching for bonding. The Wet Tech Process is a sustainable, repeatable method for precision parts finishing, surface profiling, polishing, and texturing of metals and other substrates.
What Types of Wet Blast Systems Are Available?
Manual Systems are typically cabinets with glove ports that allow the operator to position or turn the part or product being blasted.
Automated Systems allow parts or products to be moved through the system mechanically; on a conveyor belt, turntable, spindle, rotary indexer, or tumble barrel. They may be seamlessly integrated into a factory system, or loaded and unloaded manually.
Robotic Systems are programmable surface finishing systems that allow the user to repeat complex processes with maximum precision and minimal labor.

The Wet Technologies
Wet Slurry Blasting Process
The heart is in our pump—Wet Technologies exclusive submerged vortex slurry pump system is unmatched in the industry for ease of maintenance, durability, and performance.
The process mixes solid media with water in a special high-volume pump invented by Wet Technologies, and then uses regulated compressed air to dial in the aggressiveness required.
The Wet Tech process is more forgiving than traditional dry blasting and has several distinct advantages including being able to dial in the process by varying the concentration and air pressure, from aggressive deburring to subsequent smoothing, minimizing warping and abrasive embedded into a surface.
It can also combine pre-washing, degreasing, and descaling in one system. It is a superior method used to etch composite and metallic surfaces in preparation for high strength bonding and coating.
Wet Technologies Inc. means sustainable technology. Most of the applications rely solely on a mixture of water and abrasive or non-abrasive media, with no chemicals required!
